BIOGRAPHY
Vangelis Kalos, Award-winning Photographer Based in Trondheim of Norway.
Style. In his photographs, he blends a range of styles that finds aligned with his personal conceptual visionary reflections and expression.
During the last decade Vangelis has focused his work towards fine art. His work is almost solely in black and white, a preference that derives from his experience in traditional darkroom for over ten years.
Medium. His work consists of a collection of analogue/film, polaroids and digital photographs, and manifests the female beauty in an elegant and respectful way.
Studies. Among studies in Civil Engineering, MSc in Industrial Ecology, Graphic Design and Art History, found his true love in Photography during his first year as an Engineering student and member of students photo team.
Photography studies at University of the Arts London and Therapeutic Photography at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen (Scotland).
Mission. "I photograph women to show a part of models personality and soul within an artistic purpose rather than a passive form of beauty compliant."

Tutor. Vangelis as a photography tutor teaches classic Photography courses in combination with Therapeutic Photography sessions and aims to produce positive change in the well-being of individuals and the local community.

Prizes and awards
2019, 1ST PLACE at Intimate Category, and BRONZE at Conceptual-Studio Category for PhotoShoot Awards NUDE 2019.
2018, 1ST PLACE, Dance & Movement Category for PhotoShoot Awards NUDE 2018. 1 Finalist, at freedom category and 2 Merits at Emotion and Urban categories
2017, 1 SILVER, 3 BRONZE, 3 Finalist and Best participation from Norway for the contest "Top 10 Wedding Photographers 2017" of One Eyeland. The competition accepted more than 1500 images with participation of wedding photographers from 24 different countries.
2017, Silver / second place in urban category for Photoshoot Awards NUDE 2017 and one merit distinction in motion category.
2014, 2nd Prize and two honoralbe mentions in Nude category for professionals at Monochrome Awards among 7000 submissions from 86 countries around the world.
2013, Nominee at the 8th Annual Black & White Spider Awards in Nude category with the photo "Balanced". The competition received 9,456 entries from 75 countries.
2012, 1st place in the Wedding photography category for the 10th anniversary International Photography Awards 2012. The 2012 International Photography Awards received nearly 18,000 submissions from 104 countries across the globe.
2012, Top country’s (Norway) pick for the 10th anniversary International Photography Awards 2012.
2012, Honorable mention in Fine art: Nudes category for the 10th anniversary International Photography Awards 2012.
2012, Nominee in Nude at the 7th Annual Black & White Spider Awards with “Zoi means life” among 8,223 entries were received from 72 countries.
